4 Way Interclub Comp (Prints) at Cramlington - Thursday 27th February 2020.
On Thursday 27th February 2020, Cramlington Camera Club hosted Part 2 of the 4 Way Interclub Competition between
Gateshead, Cramlington, Gosforth and Morpeth Camera Clubs. Each club had submitted five monochrome prints & five
colour prints, which were marked out of thirty by visiting judge, George Ledger ARPS, DPAGB, from Consett and District
Photographic Society. Before announcing his scores, George commented on each of the forty prints, offering his personal
observations with constructive comments where relevant.
Seven Morpeth members were in attendance to see a good competition with a great variation of subject matter on view
from the four clubs. In a close contest Morpeth CC were second on the night with Gosforth CC taking first place. In this
particular interclub competition the marks from the Projected Digital Image section, (Part 1) of the competition, held on
28th November 2019, are added to tonights print scores (Part 2), to establish the trophy winner. It was then announced
that Gosforth Camera Club had edged ahead to win the two-part competition, with Morpeth Camera Club in second place.
Our thanks go to Sophie Elliott Edwards, Glyn Trueman, Davy Bolam, Sue Dawson, Peter Downs and Pat Wood whose
prints made up the Morpeth entry. At the end of the evening George Ledger was thanked for judging the competition
and the ‘ Pro-Lab 4-Way Challenge Cup ’ was presented to a representative of Gosforth Camera Club before everyone
enjoyed a pooled supper provided by the host club. The scores for the competition were as follows:
                                       1st. Gosforth CC................Pdi 267, Prints 251 = Total 518 pts.
