7 Way Interclub Competition, Prints - Thursday 24th October 2013.
On Thursday 24th October 2013, Ashington Camera Club hosted the annual 7 Way Northern Area Print Competition.
Each of the seven clubs that make up the Northern Area of the Northern Counties Photographic Federation were invited
to submit 8 prints, (four colour and four monochrome ) on any subject, which this year were judged by David Hall, ARPS,
EFIAP, DPAGB, BPE3*
David commented on each print offering authors constructive advice on composition, subject matter and technique before
he awarded each print a mark out of 30.
After all fifty six prints had been judged the result was as follows -
1st - Cambois Camera Club 215 marks,
2nd - Morpeth Camera Club 212 marks,
2nd - Alnwick Camera Club 212 marks,
4th - Ashington Camera Club 211 marks,
5th - Amble Camera Club 201 marks,
6th - Blyth Camera Club 197 marks,
7th - Wooler Camera Club 168 marks.
So a very close competition and a creditable joint second place for Morpeth Camera Club and a special mention and
congratulations to Morpeth member Ian Cadwallender who scored a maxium 30 marks for his monochrome seascape print
of St Mary's Posts, Whitley Bay.
