On Tuesday 27th November, Morpeth Camera Club welcomed George Ledger DPAGB, from Consett Camera Club to judge
the 4-Way Interclub Digital Image Competition.
Four clubs, Cramlington, Gateshead, Gosforth and Morpeth, each submitted 8 images which were each given marks out of 30.
Subjects included action shots, still life, portraits and seascapes, each image being judged on use of colour, tonal ranges, positioning
in the frame, composition and quality of depth of field. One image entitled "Lost Soul" from Gosforth CC was awarded a maximum of 30 marks. When all images had been viewed the result was as follows - Gateshead 179 marks, Gosforth 178 marks, Morpeth 176 marks and Cramlington 152 marks. This was Part One of a Two Part competition where the marks are added together, so its all to play for when the clubs return to Morpeth in February for the second leg, in the Colour and Monochrome Print section of the Competition.
