7 Way Interclub Print Competition at Wooler - Thursday 16th October 2014.

On Thursday 16th October 2014, it was the turn of Wooler Camera Club to host the annual 7 Way Interclub
Print Competition. Each of the seven clubs that make up the Northern Area of the Northern Counties Photographic
Federation (NCPF) were invited to submit 8 prints, (four colour and four monochrome ) on any subject.
Wooler had obtained the services of Ron Bell LRPS, from Gallashiels Camera Club to judge this years competition.
Ron viewed every print and commented on composition, subject matter and technique before explaining if and how
the print in question had connected with him, before awarding a mark out of 30.
After all fifty six prints had been judged the result was as follows -

1st - Cambois Camera Club 208 marks.
2nd - Ashington Camera Club 205 marks.
3rd - Morpeth Camera Club 196 marks.
4th - Alnwick Camera Club 195 marks.
5th - Blyth Camera Club 192 marks.
6th - Amble Camera Club 191 marks.
7th - Wooler Camera Club 178 marks.

Vince Rooker, Davy Bolam and Glyn Trueman attended the Glendale Hall in Wooler to represent the club and they
enjoyed a good evening and a buffet supper supplied by the hosts. A top three place for Morpeth Camera Club in a
close competition and a special mention goes to Morpeth member Mark Harrison whose colour print " Vampire Girl"
scored an excellent 29 marks.
