7 Way Interclub Print Competition - Wednesday 17th January 2024.
On Wednesday 17th January 2024, Alnwick & District Camera Club hosted the annual 7 Way Interclub Print
Competition. Camera Clubs from Ashington, Alnwick, Amble, Morpeth, Blyth, Cambois, and Wooler make up
the Northern Area group of the Northern Counties Photographic Federation. Each club were invited to submit
four Colour & four Monochrome prints on any subject, but this year Amble and Cambois failed to provide an
entry. Stephen Fowler of Ryton & District CC had been invited to judge this competition and he stated that
he expected a higher standard of prints to be submitted in an 'Interclub Competition' and that he was not
disappointed and had marked accordingly. He then commented on each individual print before awarding a
mark out of thirty. In a close competition, Ashington came first with Alnwick second and Morpeth third.The
two highest scoring prints were both from Ashington, Cromer Pier & Night Street. Final result as follows;
                                       1st   Ashington CC...................214 marks.
