which are judged as a "set" or "panel of three" and must have a link or theme to connect them to each other. Gerry also
lectures for clubs belonging to the Northern Counties Photographic Federation for whom he holds the post of Web-master
and is the Regional Co-ordinator for the RPS (Royal Photographic Society). He opened the evening by explaining that he
particularly likes the "Three of a Kind" format as it is challenging, thought provoking and it is quite an achievement to win.

The evening continued with the Colour Section entries which included birds of prey, German Christmas market scenes and

stained glass colour popped windows, Glyn Trueman came third with "Long Eared Owl", three pin sharp images of owls, Peter
Downs was given second place with "To the Left, or Right" a set of three road markings on oily tarmac, and the winner of the
colour section of the "Three of a Kind" print competition was Davy Bolam with "Chevrolet Rustbucket" three photographs of
selected angles of an old Chevrolet car, in vibrant reds and yellows, with textured rust patterns which Gerry said tipped the
scales in its originality, and was an imaginative set of three.

Gerry admired the wide selection of work, complimenting those who achieved a good proportion between photograph and
mount, showing continuity with imaginative and interesting subjects which told a story. Club Chairman, Glyn Trueman then
thanked Gerry for his views and constructive comments during the evening, after which coffee was served.
