Club Meeting Report, Presentation Evening - Tuesday 22nd April 2014.
On Tuesday 22nd April 2014,Morpeth Camera Club held their Annual Presentation evening when the winner’s trophies
were presented by Club Life President, Vince Rooker. Selected images were projected as a representation of the authors
work throughout the year together with an exhibition of prints by members. The six main awards were as follows -
John Thompson swept the board in The Bates Cup for the Best Landscape Digital Image taking first place with his image
entitled ‘Winter’ also achieving second place with Lindisfarne Light, and third place with Budle Bay.
The Browell Trophy for Best Natural History Digital Image was awarded to Vince Rooker for his image entitled Whooper
Exercise, Steve McDonald was in second place with Sanderlings and Glyn Trueman was awarded third place for Rock Pipit.
The Colour Cup - Colour Print Worker of the Year was jointly awarded to John Thompson and Mark Harrison who both
finished in first place, Vince Rooker achieving second place and Dave Illingworth was awarded third place.
The Colour Shield - Digital Image Worker of the Year was awarded to John Thompson, Davy Bolam taking second place
and in third place was Mark Harrison.

The Camera Trophy - Monochrome Print Worker of the Year was awarded to John Thompson, Dave Illingworth was in
second place and Chris Earl was placed third.
The Photographer of the Year is awarded to the person who has received most marks overall when added together from
the projected digital image, colour print and mono print competitions. The Photographers Plaque was awarded to John
Thompson, in second place was Davy Bolam and third place was awarded to Dave Illingworth.
Another successful year for the club concluded with a buffet supper. Club members now look forward to the series of
summer walks which will once again be organised by Davy Bolam.
The club resumes its new season on Tuesday 9th September 2014 and new members will be made most welcome.
