Club Meeting Report, Summer Walks Show - Tuesday 17th December 2013.

On Tuesday 17th December 2013, Davy Bolam presented a selection of projected digital images from the Morpeth
Camera Clubs 2013 Summer Walks & Visits Programme.

Davy had organised thirteen informal visits to places of interest in the local area throughout the summer break.
The aim of the walks is to keep members in touch, get some exercise, and exchange tips and ideas whilst practising
their photography. Members were invited to submit images that they had taken on the walks to davy, who then
edited and produced a show of variation and interest.

Places visited included the Blyth Battery War Day, The huge landform sculpture "Northumberlandia" at Blagdon,
Seaton Sluice Beach & Harbour, Shaftoe crags near Bolam Lake, Alnmouth, Tynemouth Pier & the Mouth of the
Tyne, and Low Chibburn Precepitory.

Trips continued throughout the summer to The Great North Fly In at Eshott Air Field, Hulne Priory near Alnwick,
Ladyburn Lake at Druridge Bay Country Park, The Ouseburn & Newcastle Quayside and the Port of Blyth.

Throughout the show it was interesting to observe and compare the images taken by different members at the
same time, at the same location and showed that everyone both see's and photographs things differently.
Davy finished with a short A.V.sequence that reflected what was widley accepted as the highlight of the summer
programme, when the club went on a Boat trip from Amble Harbour to Coquet Island. Still images & video footage,
set to an appropriate soundtrack made a fitting end to a to a good presentation.

Club chairman Steve McDonald then gave a vote of thanks to Davy for his efforts and thanked everyone who had
attended and supported the summer walks and those who had provided images for the show.

Members then enjoyed a Christmas buffet that ended the last meeting of what has been a very good year for
the club.

Morpeth Camera club continues after the winter break starting on Tuesday 7th January 2014.
