Club Meeting Report, Chairmans Evening - Tuesday 10th September 2013.

On Tuesday 10th September 2013 the new season of Morpeth Camera Club meetings opened with Chairmans Night.
In this annual event the club chairman has the task of entertaining the club members.
New club chairman Steve Mcdonald welcomed both old and new members and gave a brief power point presentation
discussing the club website, forthcoming competition rules & requirements, proposed training nights and updating
members on the clubs Annual Spectacular which is taking place on 12th November 2013.
Steve then presented two Audio Visual shows, " Liverpool Metropolitan ", which depicted life in the City of Liverpool,
including some fine architectural shots and stunning photographs of Liverpool Cathedral.
This was followed by " In Search of Dolphins " which combined both still and amazing video footage of dolphins taken
whilst following the BBC’s ‘Countryfile’ team.
Steve continued with images taken at Budle Bay, Blea Tarn, the Lakes, The Serengeti, as well as time exposure star &
light trails, birdlife, cityscapes, studio shots, the Roller Derby & the Foghorn Challenge.
Two further presentations, one relating to offshore wind farms which included a very interesting time lapse sequence
following the construction process and concluded with Steve presenting an audio visual of wildlife on the Farne Islands
& Bass Rock featuring action shots of Puffins, Terns and an excellent study of Gannets taken in their natural habitat.
Deputy Chairman, Glyn Trueman, thanked Steve for an excellent presentation and a good start to the winter programme.
