Club Meeting Report, One Image - Tuesday 18th December 2012.

Morpeth Camera Clubs final meeting of 2012 was held on Tuesday 18th December and members were requested to
submit one digital image that was then projected onto a large screen. Each author then explained why they had taken
their particular image and anything they had done in post processing to get the final result. The audience were then
invited to comment and discus the merits of the image or suggest what in their opinion could be done to improve the picture.
An interesting variety of photographs were submitted from wildlife to landscape and from portraits to patterns. The aim of the
exercise was to encourage members to look closely at the images they take and to help new members understand why some
images work better than others. Many valid points regarding composition, light, subject matter, colour and the fact that even
the title of an image can effect how it is perceived by others were covered. Vice chairman Steve Mcdonald kept the discussions
on topic in what was an informal, but very informative evening.
A christmas raffle and finger buffet ended the night and the club returns after the festive break with a full programme of events starting on Tuesday 8th January 2013.
