Club Meeting Report. 1st Open Print Results - Tuesday 6th November 2012.

On Tuesday 6th November Morpeth Camera Club welcomed Alan McCormick, LRPS, of Hexham Camera Club,
to judge the 1st Open Print Competition of the season. Offering very constructive remarks and advice, Alan commented
on the ninety prints submitted by club members in this very popular open competition.
In the Monochrome section Highly Commended places were awarded to Ian Cadwallender's Boot Room, Lional Bryan's
Provencal Detail, Elaine Illingworth's Rusty Lloyd & Lional Bryan's Gable End Mural with Bike. Alans winning selection was -

1st place - Dereliction On Reflection by Ian Cadwallender.
2nd place -Three Tulips by Vince Rooker.
3rd place - Prop Forward by John Thompson.
4th place - Island Workshop by John Thompson.
5th place - Sprint Finish by John Thompson.

In the Colour section, Highly Commended places were awarded to Chris Earl with Wall Surfer, to Elaine Illingworth's - Jake,
Davy Bolam's - Street Entertainers, Dave Illingworth with Beamish Motor & Cycle Works and to John Barnes with Abstract
in Blue. In a very close top five Alans winning images were -

1st place - Sand, Sea and Sky by Chris Earl.
2nd place -Clematis and Grapes by Vince Rooker.
3rd place - Where did you get that Hat by Steve Mcdonald.
4th place - Causeway Stormcloud by John Thompson.
5th place - High Ball by John Thompson.

Chairman Dave Illingworth thanked judge Alan McCormick for his views which were interesting, amusing and informative, after which there was a raffle and general discussion about the work entered.
