Club Meeting, Season 2024/25 AGM - Tuesday 29th April 2025.

On Tuesday 29th April, Morpeth Camera Club held its Annual General Meeting, marking the penultimate meeting
of the 2024/25 season. Committee members provided detailed reports on the various activities and competitions
related to their roles in managing the club. It was confirmed that the club is in a strong financial position, has a
healthy membership, and is attracting new members. This is a promising sign for an active and exciting upcoming
season of photography.

Following the AGM, led by Glyn Trueman, members were then treated to a set of stunning images and prints from
the 2024 NCPF Print Portfolio. With a running commentary, we enjoyed seeing beautiful landscapes, dramatic and
calm seascapes, ethereal portraits, floral triptychs, still life, clever composite images, natural history, urban street
photography, graceful dancers, and sport. Lovely reflections, stage shots, nostalgia, fantasy, studio work, people
at work and church interiors were also included in the presentation. The portfolio selectors, John Tillotson, Glen
Lawson and Dave Best, each discussed and shared their observations on a small selection of the prints, including
work by Morpeth members Sue Dawson, Peter Downs and Glyn Trueman. A short PAGB presentation followed,
and the evening concluded with a light-hearted discussion, followed by refreshments.
