Morpeth Camera Club

Morpeth Camera Club is about to begin the new 2025/2026 season after a summer break that included a
series of evening walks led by Davy Bolam. These walks featured visits to various local sites, including the
old open-cast site at Stobswood, St. Andrews Church, Bothal, and the Cambois Coastal Path.

In addition, Glyn Trueman organised day trips to locations including Newton-by-the-Sea and Long Nanny,
Gosforth Park Nature Reserve, Lanercost Priory, Swaledale, and an evening walk at Low Hauxley Beach.
These outings provided members with the opportunity to stay connected, exchange ideas, and explore
places of local interest.

The Club meets every Tuesday from September to May at the Morpeth Methodist Church, Howard Terrace,
Morpeth, NE61 1HU. Meetings start at 7:30 pm. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and also
includes accessible restrooms for your convenience.

The current membership fee is £25.00 per year, along with a £2.00 cover charge for each meeting, which
includes tea, coffee, and biscuits. Prospective new members are welcome to attend three meetings without
any obligation to join.

Our goal is to enjoy ourselves while improving our photography skills. Our members have interests in various
types of photography, including landscapes, portraiture, macro, and audio-visual presentations. We invite all
photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us. Our program offers a variety of events, including speakers,
in-house evenings, and competitions.

Why not give us a try? We are a friendly and helpful group! Our first meeting of the season will take place on
Tuesday, September 2nd, featuring guest speaker Graham Clarke, who will deliver a talk entitled “What Makes
a Good Photograph.”

You will be warmly welcomed. For more information, please visit our website: morpethcameraclub.co.uk.
