Summer Walk 4, Eshott Airfield - Sunday 2nd July 2023.

The fourth walk on the Camera Club summer programme took place on Sunday 2nd July at Eshott Airfield. This was
an informal drop-in session at one of the airfields regular 'Machine Meet' weekends where anyone with an interesting,
vintage, custom or stock vehicle, can display their machine in the company of like-minded enthusiasts and visitors.
With over fifty different cars and thirty motorcycles at any one time, this meet was quieter than previous events but
there were still many well known makes and models of vehicles to photograph.

Motorcycle's have a unique charm and always attract attention with Triumph, Harley Davidson, Royal Enfield, Honda.
Kawasaki and Vincent amongst those in attendance, together with several strange trikes and custom machines. The
main focus was on the cars on display, from lovingly restored Ford Cortina's to Old Rovers, Triumph Dolomites to Ford
Escorts and everything in between. Performance and speciality cars were also seen with Lotus, Porsche, BMW and a
Rolls Royce.

Vehicles come and go during the event and the arrival of twelve TVR's from the North East TVR's Owners Club made
quite an entrance. Weather and wind conditions had affected the usual busy airfield and there was not as many take
offs and landings as previous meets, but several static aircraft could be seen and photographed including an Ex RAF
Chipmunk WG458. A very heavy shower just after lunch curtailed some activity, but by then club members had their
images from an interesting outing. Thank you to those who attended.
