Morpeth Triumph in 7 Way Interclub Competition - Wednesday 19th March 2014.

On Wednesday 19th March 2014, Cambois Camera Club hosted the Annual Seven Way Interclub PDI Category Competition.
In this competition each of the seven clubs in the Northern Area had to enter ten images with not less than one and no more
than two images in the following categories, Landscape, Interiors, Portraits, Photo Journalism, Sport & Action, Still Life,
Flora & Fauna, and Fantasy, Myth, Legend or Religion.
Cambois had selected David Richardson of Ryton Camera Club to judge the competition and he commented on each image,
giving his opinion as to whether it matched the category in which it had been entered and then gave a mark out of thirty.
The scores for each clubs individual images were added together and in a close competition Morpeth Camera Club gained
first place and retained the trophy they had won at Wooler last year.

The final result was as follows,

1. Morpeth Camera Club........................261 pts.
2. Ashington Co Op Camera Club............259 pts.
3. Alnwick & District Camera Club...........250 pts.
4. Amble Photographic Group.................247 pts.
5. Cambois Camera Club.......................245 pts.
6. Blyth Photographic Society.................241 pts.
7. Wooler Camera Club.........................227 pts.

Excellent hospitality from Cambois with a raffle and buffet supper rounded off a good night as Davy Bolam, Dave Bisset
and Mark Harrison saw Morpeth Vice Chairman Glyn Trueman receive the Trophy on behalf of the club.
Thank you to Morpeth Members Neil Baxter, Vince Rooker, Davy Bolam, Glyn Trueman, Mark Harrison, Elaine Illingworth
and Ian Cadwallender whose images were selected by the competition secretary as the most suitable to fit the six different categories.
