Club Members Images selected for local 2019 Calendars.
In July 2018 Pegswood Parish Council advertised a photographic competition inviting images to be submitted of the
landmark sculpture ' Fire', now more affectionately known as ' Robin of Pegswood ', that stands on the roundabout
outside the village. These images were for possible inclusion in a Calendar for 2019 to commemorate the Ten Year
Anniversary of the popular local artwork.
Two Morpeth Camera Club members have been successful and congratulations go to Davy Bolam and John Barnes,
as their images have been selected by Tom Maley, the artist who created the 36 feet tall bronze and stainless steel
sculpture, to appear in the 2019 Calendar.

In a similar vein, the Morpeth Matters Facebook Group also holds a competition each year inviting photographs of
Morpeth or the surrounding parishes of Hebron, Hepscott, Mitford or Pegswood, for possible inclusion in a calendar.
Morpeth Camera Club member Sue Dawson entered several images and has recently been informed that she has
been rewarded for her efforts with two images being selected for their 2019 calendar. Both calendars are available
locally and the proceeds from the Morpeth Matters calendar go to the ' Henry Dancer Days Charity' that supports
children and young people with cancer.
