*Wooler had again withdrawn this season.

On Wednesday 18th March 2020, Cambois Camera Club were due to host the Annual Seven Way Interclub Pdi
Category Competition at their clubhouse at Ridley Terrace, Cambois. In this event each of the *Seven clubs in
the Northern Area has to enter ten images with not less than one and no more than two images in the following
categories - Landscape, Interiors, Portraits, Still Life, Flora & Fauna, and Fantasy, Myth, Legend or Religion. The
aim of the competition is to encourage club members to photograph a range of different subjects throughout the
season and produce a collective club entry to fit the categories.

Images in an interclub competition are expected to be of a high standard and are judged as such with a lesser
tolerance for any perceived faults. Cambois had invited Alan Porrett, ARPS DPAGB EFIAP APAGB of Whitley Bay
Photographic Society to judge this competition, however before he could attend to comment on each image, the
evening was cancelled due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic. As Alan had already looked at each of the sixty
images and marked them out of thirty based on the criteria as to whether the work fitted the category in which
it had been entered, it was decided that the competition would go ahead and the results would be returned to
the host club who would collate the scores for each club's individual images and when added together they
would produce a result.

On Wednesday 18th March the results were circulated to each club via email and we were delighted to find that
Morpeth Camera Club had taken first place. Amble were second with Ashington and Alnwick in joint third place.
Our winning club entry was made up of a selection of images by John Willmore, Paul Appleby, Sue Dawson, Davy
Bolam, Mark Harrison and Glyn Trueman. A big thank you to them for allowing me to use their work. Morpeth
will be presented with the trophy at a later date.
