Counties Photographic Federation, an accomplished photographer, judge and member of Blyth Photographic

during lockdown most clubs had depended upon digital formats.
Colour Prints.
Among the Forty colour entries there were macro shots of bark, thistles and yellow rope, artistic and abstract
photographs of a vibrant neon nightscape, daffodils floating in clouds, a lone giraffe with acacia trees, and rock
patterns. Included were Dales landscapes, St Mary’s Lighthouse, Lindisfarne in the Mist, a barley field & poppies,
sunset at Lake Coniston, pastel seascapes, colourful street scenes, a view from Table Mountain, and Liverpool’s’
Albert Docks.
The judge went on to announce his Highly Commended prints; Sue Dawson with Just Landed, of two autumnal
leaves on the forest floor for its composition; Impact Point by Davy Bolam, of colours shining through a smashed
window pane, for its vibrancy; sharp glass slivers and spider web effect; The Volcano by Peter Downs, a thought
provoking abstract in red and orange and The Empty Library, a moody shot of Belsay library bathed in shafts of
light.
Jim awarded 5th place to Sue Dawson for Clover for its delicate soft focus; 4th place went to Roseanne Robinson
