7 Way Interclub Print Competition - Tuesday 21st January 2025.

On Tuesday 21st January 2025, Amble Photographic Group hosted the annual 7 Way Interclub Print Competition
between camera clubs in the Northern Counties Photographic Federation's Northern Area group. In this year’s
competition clubs from Ashington, Alnwick, Amble, Blyth, Cambois, and Morpeth entered four Colour & four
Monochrome prints on any subject. The competition was judged by Alan Porrett ARPS, DPAGB, APAGB, from
Whitley Bay Photographic Society.

Alan started by commenting about the very high standard of prints entered and how he had marked them. He
then went on to give his comments on each print, before announcing his score out of thirty. In a high-scoring
competition, Ashington came first with Amble second and Blyth third. After the trophy was presented to a
representative from Ashington Camera, the winning club’s prints and those that scored the top mark of thirty
points were put on display for those present to look at closely while they enjoyed a good buffet supper. The
final results after adding together the scores for the monochrome and colour print sections were:

1st Ashington CC ......................... 221 marks.
2nd Amble PG ..............................215 marks.
3rd Blyth PS ................................214 marks.
4th Cambois CC ...........................206 marks.
5th Morpeth CC............................204 marks.
6th Alnwick CC.............................201 marks.

Our thanks go to members of Amble Photographic Group for hosting a well-organised and enjoyable evening.
