7-Way Pdi Interclub Competition - Sunday 16th November 2025

On Sunday 16th November 2025 it was the turn of Cambois Camera Club to hold the Northern Counties Photographic
Federation 7-Way Interclub Pdi Competition. The seven clubs that make up the Northern Area were invited to take part
in this annual event and this year Cambois CC, Ashington CC, Morpeth CC, Amble PG, Blyth PS, Wooler CC and Alnwick
CC, accepted the challenge.

The format had changed from previous years with each club entering thirty images. These images were viewed and
scored live by a panel of three federation judges, Alan Porrett ARPS DPAGB EFIAP APAGB, Peter Maguire LRPS CPAGB
EFIAP and Rob Butler, who each give a mark out of five using an automatic scoring machine. This gave an immediate
total for each projected image.

The scores were collated for each clubs thirty images and in a close contest it was discovered that both Morpeth and
Amble had tied for first place with 374 marks. *As a winner must be declared on the day, the countback rule was then
applied and Amble were found to have been awarded fifteen marks for two images compared to Morpeths one. The 7
Way Pdi Trophy was then awarded to Amble PG. The Momento plate was awarded to the author of the best highest
scoring image Storm Brewing by Richard Turnbull of Ashington CC. The afternoon was concluded with a raffle, and a
pooled buffet. Thank you to the hosts, judges and everyone who supported the event.
