Club Meeting Report, Three of a Kind Results - Tuesday 2nd April 2013.

On Tuesday 2nd April 2013, Morpeth Camera Club met to find out the results of the final two competitions of the season.
Guest Judge David Hall, ARPS,EFIAP,DPAGB,BPE3* had been given the task of looking at the entries in both the Colour and Monochrome print sections of the popular " Three of a Kind " Competition.
Members had to produce a set of three prints with a link or theme to form a panel. Each panel was to consist of a left, a right
and centre print to be judged as a whole.
As multiple images can support & supplement each other, each print did not necessarily have to be perfect and self explanatory
in its self. The aim of the competition was to encourage members to go out and explore a subject and to force them to think about different ways of connecting their images either by theme, form, texture, colour, or subject and the results showed that all authors had produced prints that related to each other.
The judge expressed his enjoyment at looking at the varied and well presented sets of prints and stated that his task had been
far from easy due to the high standard of entries. Club chairman Dave Illingworth then thanked Mr Hall for his constructive comments and observations throughout the evening.
In the Monochrome Print Section the results were as follows -
1. Winter Trees by John Thompson.

2. The Band by Dave Bisset.

3. Female Form by Mark Harrison.

4. The Fell Race by Vince Rooker.
5. St Marys by Ian Cadwallender.
