Club Meeting Report, Club Camera Results - Tuesday 9th April 2013.

At the Morpeth Camera Club meeting on Tuesday 9th April 2013, the theme of the evening was the Projection of
Pictures from the Club Camera.
During the course of the season a basic camera is given to a member of the club to use for one week. The object
of the exercise is to use a camera which one is not accustomed to and take five photographs which will be shown
at the end of the season. The main stipulation is that these images are not subject to any manipulation whatever
and are shown as taken.
Fourteen members submitted images, some of which had individual themes, from St Marys Island at Whitley Bay
to an Armistice Day Parade at Cramlington. Animals of Northumberland to a Fishing Lake near Hebron. Guitars &
Poppies, The Metro Centre at Christmas, Newbiggin Beach, Newcastle Street Scenes, Kitchenalia and Portraits.
Each author explained where they had taken their images and the thought process behind them, whilst the other
club members passed comment and discussed what they liked or disliked, leading to some lively and sometimes
tongue in cheek advice being offered.
The evening continued with Competition Secretary, Davy Bolam detailing the results of the Annual 7 Way Interclub
PDI Category Competition held at Wooler Camera Club on Sunday 7th April 2013 where Morpeth had been Victorious.
