4 Way Interclub Competition Result , (Part 2- Prints) - Thursday 25th February 2016.

On Thursday 25th February 2016, Cramlington Camera Club hosted Part Two of the Four Way Interclub Competition
between Morpeth, Gosforth, Cramlington and Gateshead. Each club had earlier submitted four colour prints and four
monochrome prints, and guest judge Robin Sinton from Tynemouth Photographic Society had the task of commenting
on each print and giving a mark out of thirty.
Six Morpeth members were in attendance to support the club and they enjoyed a good selection of work that covered
many subjects. Mr Sinton gave his personal views on each of the thirty two prints and it was clear throughout the evening
that several of his observations were quite different from those of the audience. At the end of the print contest the marks
were announced as follows, Gosforth 198, Morpeth 192, Gateshead 191 and Cramlington 182.
In this Two-Part competition the scores from the Projected Digital Image section (Part 1), that was held on 3rd December
2015, are added to the scores of the Print Section (Part 2) to decide the winners. Morpeth had come first in the Projected
Digital Image section but in the final outcome after the scores had been added together Gosforth had made up the deficit
to take the trophy. Scores from both competitions as shown below -

1. Gosforth        - (Pdi 207, Prints 198) = Total 405 marks.
2. Morpeth         - (Pdi 208, Prints 192) = Total 400 marks.
3. Gateshead    - (Pdi 205, Prints 191) = Total 396 marks.
4. Cramlington  - (Pdi 195, Prints 182) = Total 377 marks.

So congratulations to Gosforth who were awarded the silver trophy and thank you to Morpeth members Peter Downs,
Alan Harle, Glyn Trueman, Vince Rooker, John Thompson, Davy Bolam, Chris Earl and Pat Woods whose prints made up
the Morpeth entry resulting in a very creditable second place.
