7 Way Interclub Pdi Category Competition - Thursday 23rd March 2017.

On Thursday 23rd March 2017, Blyth Photographic Society hosted the Annual Seven Way Interclub PDI Category
Competition. In this event each of the *Seven clubs in the Northern Area has to enter ten images with not less
than one and no more than two images in the following categories - Landscape, Interiors, Portraits, Still Life,
Photo Journalism, Flora & Fauna, and Fantasy, Myth, Legend or Religion.

Blyth had selected David Richardson of Ryton Camera Club to judge the competition and he commented on the
merits of each image, giving his opinion as to whether it matched the category in which it had been entered
before giving a mark out of thirty. The scores for each clubs individual images were added together and in a
close competition Morpeth Camera Club gained 1st place and retained the trophy for the fifth year in succession,
becoming the first club in the history of the competition to achieve this remarkable feat. Full result as follows,

1. Morpeth Camera Club............................254 pts.
2. Alnwick & District Camera Club..............247 pts.
3. Cambois Camera Club...........................238 pts.
4. Amble Photographic Group...................236 pts.
    Blyth Photographic Society...................236 pts.
6. Ashington Camera Club........................231 pts.

*(Wooler Camera Club failed to submit an entry).

Glyn Trueman, Vince Rooker, Dave Bisset and George Sudlow were present to see Competition Secretary Davy
Bolam accept the trophy on behalf of the club and hosts Blyth should be congratulated for running a very well
organised competition that was concluded by a raffle and an excellent buffet supper.

A big thank you and congratulations to Morpeth Camera Club members Steve Mcdonald, Vince Rooker, George
Sudlow, Sue Dawson, Davy Bolam, Glyn Trueman and Mark Harrison whose images made up our successful entry.
The trophy will be on display at the club meeting on Tuesday 4th April 2017.
