Morpeth Win, Result of 7 Way Interclub Category Competition - Sunday 20th March 2016.

                                                 

On Sunday 20th March 2016, Alnwick & District Camera Club hosted the Annual Seven Way Interclub PDI Category
Competition. In this competition each of the  *Seven clubs has to enter ten images with not less than one and no
more than two images in the each of the following categories, Landscape, Interiors, Portraits & Photo Journalism,
Flora & Fauna, Still Life, and Fantasy, Myth, Legend or Religion.
Dave Phillips from Hartlepool Photographic & Digital Group, had agreed to judge the competition, comment on each
image and then give a mark out of thirty based on his opinion as to whether the image best reflected the category
in which it was entered.
The scores for each clubs individual images were added together and in a close competition Morpeth Camera Club
came out on top. The results were as follows,

1st.  Morpeth Camera Club......................277 pts.
2nd. Amble Photographic Group..................275 pts.
       Blyth Photographic Society..................275 pts.
4th.  Cambois Camera Club........................272 pts.
5th.  Alnwick & District Camera Club............266 pts.
6th.  Wooler Camera Club..........................258 pts.
    *(Ashington Camera Club failed to submit an entry).

So Morpeth retain the trophy for the Fourth year in succession and two Morpeth images gained the maximum thirty
marks, Tewkesbury Abbey Interior by Glyn Trueman and Montbretia in Ice by Davy Bolam.
A big thank you to all Morpeth Members who submitted images to the competition secretary for consideration and
congratulations to Steve Mcdonald, Vince Rooker, Davy Bolam, Glyn Trueman and Elaine Illingworth whose images
were used in our successful entry. The Trophy will be on display at the club meeting on Tuesday 22nd March 2016.
